H1N1 Information
We’re sorry to hear of your illness. To help you rest and recover MIT is providing a meal delivery service to all students in MIT residences and FSILGs. To be eligible for this service authorization must be initiated by MIT Medical. For more information about H1N1 flu from MIT Medical, please review their list of Frequently Asked Questions.
MacGregor Convenience (W61) and LaVerde’s Market (W20) will have supplies and grocery items, as recommended by MIT Medical and the CDC, available for purchase. MacGregor and LaVerde’s will not provide delivery service, students may wish to stock up on supplies or obtain them through a friend or roommate.
How to order
Order food via online form or by email. Meals can only be delivered to students upon notification from MIT Medical that the student is ill. Students must submit food orders on-line or by emailing orderfood@mit.edu.
Orders must include: Your name MIT ID Number Your residence (include your street address if an FSILG) Your room number Meal requested and any additional a la carte items Notification of any special dietary needs Preferred delivery time
If you need to speak with someone about your order, call 617-253-4951 between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Order and Delivery Schedule:
Breakfast orders must be received the night before
Lunch orders must be place no later than 9am for same day delivery
Dinner Orders must be received by 1pm for delivery the same day.
Weekend deliveries will start at noon
What’s Available
Breakfast packages $6.00 (delivered between 8 am and 10 am)
1. Fresh Baked Muffin, Milk and Cereal, cut fruit cup, beverage (water, juice, soda)
2. Bagel with cream cheese, hot oatmeal, cut fruit cup, beverage (water, juice, soda)
Lunch $7.00 (delivered between 11am and 2pm)
Entrees from the Forbes Family Café menu
1. Box Lunch = sandwich, soup, cut fruit cup and choice of water, soda or juice.
2. Hot Entrée from the Forbes Café Daily Menu including two sides with a choice of water, soda or juice.
Dinner $8.00 (delivered between 5pm and 8pm)
Entrees from the Next House Dining Menu (Sunday through Thursday) or the Baker Menu (Friday and Saturday).
A la carte items available with purchase of meal (priced at regular retail cost)

All orders include disposable containers, napkins and utensils. For dinner meals, House Dining Memberships will be honored.
