New Websites for Campus Dining and the MIT Faculty Club!

After nearly eight years, the old MIT Campus Dining Web site has been retired. Campus Dining is proud to announce the launch of its new Web site. Visit the menus & venues section for improved menu searching capabilities.

This site is being constructed in phases. In stage two, we hope to add better features for mobile devices. We'd love your feedback if you have thoughts or suggestions on how to make this site even better! Please us the "contact us" feature linked below or email foodstuff@mit.edu.

The MIT Faculty Club is also celebrating the launch of a new Web site. Visit the Faculty Club site to learn about the Club including event spaces, menus and chef's specials.

House Dining September Events Calendar Posted

A Calendar of September House Dining Events is now posted to the House Dining page of this site. Highlights include desserts for "National Apple Dumpling Day" at Simmons Dining on September 17 and celebration of the "International Banana Festival" with Bananas Foster served at Next House on September 21. The annual "Eat Local Challenge" also comes to campus in September -- on September 29 dishes made in House Dining will be created from ingredients sourced from within 150 miles from campus.

House Dining Rooms are located in Baker, Simmons, McCormick and Next House. They serve dinner meals (hours vary) and are open to all members of the campus community (with an MIT ID).

Baker and Next House Dining Open Sunday, September 6 and Monday September 7

In support of orientation, the House Dining Rooms in Baker and Next Houses will reopen for the academic year on Sunday, September 6 and will be open on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, as well. Both Dining Rooms serve dinner from 5:30 - 8:30 PM. McCormick Dining and Simmons Dining will reopen on Tuesday, September 8.

As a way to introduce all students to the House Dining program, all diners will receive the House Dining Membership discount during these meal periods. The discount is 50% off the price of meals prepared in House Dining Rooms (bottled beverages and prepackaged foods are excluded).

Hope to see you over dinner!

Ashdown Dining (NW35) Closed

Ashdown Dining (NW35), which offered an All-You-Care-to-Eat program, has been discontinued. Dinner service will continue to be provided for the Phoenix Group, the undergraduate community currently residing in this hall, but will not be open to the MIT Community at large as it was last year.

Graduate students looking for meal options in the Northwest Neighborhood can choose to dine at the Pacific Street Cafe (NW86) or The Thirsty Ear Pub (the kitchen is closed this summer, but will reopen this fall). All students are welcome in other House Dining Rooms as well, the closest undergraduate dorm with Dining is Simmons Hall.
